CPAP Battery FAQ

Is a Prescription required for a CPAP Battery? NO.

Will my insurance company pay for my CPAP Battery? CPAP Power Packs are not considered a medically necessary item and therefore will not be covered by your insurance.

Do CPAP Batteries work with all CPAP machine models? YES, CPAP Power Packs are compatible with most makes and models of CPAP and BiLevel machines.

How long will the Battery run my CPAP machine? Run times vary depending upon device type, pressure settings and altitude. Average Power Pack run times: C-100: 3-20 hours, C-150: 10-30 Hours, C-222 25-40 Hours, C-444: 50-65 Hours

NOTE: Use of the 150 or 225 Watt Sine Wave Inverter, heater or a humidifier will significantly reduce the expected run time.

How long does it take to recharge the Power Pack? C-100: 3-5 Hours, C-222: 5-6 Hours, C-444: 6-7 Hours

How do I know if I need to purchase the 150 or 225 Watt Sine Wave Inverter? If your CPAP machine does not have a DC input port you will need to purchase the 150 or 225 Watt Sine Wave Inverter to complete the connection between the Power Pack and the CPAP or BiLevel machine.

Can I recharge the Power Pack via the cigarette lighter socket in my vehicle? YES. You can safely recharge your Super CPAP Power Pack via the cigarette lighter socket of your vehicle by using the 150 or 225 Watt Sine Wave Inverter along with the Power Pack. Do Not Attempt To Connect The Power Pack Directly To The Cigarette Lighter Socket.

Can I use Super CPAP Power Packs to power other device? YES. Super CPAP Power Packs can also be used to power other devices that operate from 12V DC current such as portable DVD players, iPods, MP3 players, cell phones and more.

What kinds of batteries are allowed in carry-on baggage (in the aircraft cabin)? Passengers can carry most consumer batteries and personal battery-powered devices. Spare batteries must be protected from damage and short circuit. Passengers can bring two (2) large lithium ion batteries 100watt hours or less in their carry-on.  

What is the Lithium Content (grams) per Super CPAP Power Pack? C-150:11.7g, C-222: 18g, C-444: 36g

What kinds of batteries are allowed in checked baggage? Spare lithium batteries are prohibited in checked baggage.

Are Super CPAP Power Packs "Protected From Short Circuit"? YES. Super CPAP Power Packs are built within a protective aluminum alloy scratch resistant shell. Built in Circuitry protection also protects against thermal run-away and overheating.
